Special conditions of participation (short version):

1. The competition runs from 23.10.2026, 06:00 PM CEST - 05.11.2026 10:00 AM CEST.

2. Effective participation in the competition takes place through active participation, by filling out and submitting the form on https://www.earmusic.com/satchvai-contest-satriani and answering the competition question correctly.

3.  Fans in Europe and the United Kingdom of legal age in their country are eligible to participate.  

4. earMUSIC is giving away a non-cash prize in the form of a Joe Satriani Ibanez JS240PS (signed by Joe Satriani) and a black LP of SatchVai's "The Sea of Emotion" (signed by Joe Satriani and Steve Vai).

5. In addition to the following Special Competition Terms and Conditions, the Competition Terms and Conditions of Participation, are available at https://www.earmusic.com/terms-and-conditions/. The data protection provisions of the competition conditions of participation apply - available at https://www.earmusic.com/privacy-protection-statement.

6. The winner will be determined after the closing date by means of a random draw from among all valid entries: each participant is assigned a number. An employee of earMUSIC will choose three random numbers inbetween zero and the maximum number of participants. The three persons with the assigned number win the prize. The supplementary terms and conditions may specify different modalities for determining the winner, especially in the case of prize competitions (e.g. jury decision).

Special conditions of participation 

The competition "Joe Satriani - SatchVai 'The Sea of Emotion'" (hereinafter referred to as the “competition”) is organized by earMUSIC, a label of Edel Music & Entertainment GmbH, Neumühlen 17, 22763 Hamburg, Germany, available at https://www.earmusic.com/terms-and-conditions/ and the data protection provisions of Edel https://www.earmusic.com/privacy-protection-statement/ apply insofar as they do not contradict these Special Competition Terms and Conditions. The Ibanez guitar will be supplied and shipped by a distributor in the winner’s region (contact email: info@hoshinoeurope.com. The contact email address may vary depending on the winner’s location). By participating, participants accept the General and Special Terms and Conditions of Participation. The competition is in no way connected to Facebook/Instagram and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Facebook/Instagram. Facebook/Instagram is therefore not available as a contact partner for this competition.

Citizens located in Europe and the United Kingdomof legal age in their country are eligible to participate.  

earMUSIC is giving away a non-cash prize in the form of a Joe Satriani Ibanez JS240PS (signed by Joe Satriani) and a black LP of SatchVai's "The Sea of Emotion" (signed by Joe Satriani and Steve Vai). The prize will be given to the winner as follows:

The winner will be determined after the closing date by means of a random draw from among all valid entries: each participant is assigned a number. An employee of earMUSIC will choose a random number inbetween zero and the maximum number of participants. The person with the assigned number wins the prize. The supplementary terms and conditions may specify different modalities for determining the winner, especially in the case of prize competitions (e.g. jury decision). Only one winner will emerge from this competition/contest.

The winner will be notified after the end of the competition/contest by e-mail. In addition, the winner will be announced on our social media platforms in anonymized form.

If the winner cannot be reached and does not get back to us within 48 hours of being contacted, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be chosen. In the case of prizes that include tickets, the response period is 24 hours. In the event of a non-deliverable prize notification or the prize, we are not obliged to make further inquiries, but can immediately determine a new winner. 

The winner is responsible for all costs associated with the prize that are not expressly included in the prize, such as travel or catering costs. The prize is not convertible or transferable, i.e. cash payment, payment in kind, exchange or transfer of the prize is not possible. The prize is not transferable. The winner accepts any necessary changes to the prize due to factors beyond the control of the companies involved in the competition.

2. Participation period and closing date, prize determination

The competition runs from 23.10.2026, 06:00 PM CEST - 05.11.2026 10:00 AM CEST. Each participant can only enter once. Multiple comments or entries will be treated as one entry. The relevant date for the closing date is the time of the submission.

The winner will be selected at random from all participating comments/submissions, contacted via email and announced on the Facebook/Instagram channel anonymously. Once the winner has been announced, they will be asked to get in touch with Edel and provide their contact address. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours of the announcement of the winner, the claim to the prize will unfortunately be forfeited. In the event of non-compliance with these deadlines, the participant is no longer entitled to the prize and Edel is entitled to randomly select a new winner and award the prize elsewhere. Claims for compensation by the initially drawn winner against Edel are excluded.

3. Data protection & PR

Participation in the competition includes - in the event of winning - the consent to the naming of the first and last name or Facebook/Instagram profile name on the Facebook/Instagram channel of earMUSIC. The personal data of all participants and the winner will be collected, processed and forwarded for the purpose of running the competition and, if applicable, claiming and processing the prize. All Facebook/Instagram names of the participants will be recorded and stored for the purpose of determining the winner; the comments on Facebook/Instagram will continue to exist and can be viewed publicly. Address data will only be collected from the winners and will only be used to send/hand over the prize. In addition, personal data may be processed by Facebook/Instagram, over which Edel has no control. Further information on this can be found in the Facebook/Instagram privacy policy. 

All data submitted through this form will be deleted once the competition has ended.

Legal recourse is excluded.
