Tarja, one of the most captivating voices to emerge from the heavy music scene, is set to release her latest seasonal masterpiece, “Score for a Dark Christmas,” on December 5th via earMUSIC. This evocative new listening experience brings together the atmospheric and emotionally rich moments from her acclaimed releases Dark Christmas and From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for a Dark Christmas). The tracks have been freshly curated in a definitive running order and are accompanied by striking new artwork.

Blending classical elegance, gothic beauty, and cinematic depth, the Finnish solo artist transforms beloved Christmas melodies into haunting soundscapes. Her interpretations range from the ethereal serenity of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and “Pie Jesu” to the whimsical eeriness of “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” offering listeners a completely new experience for the holiday season.

The album features Tarja’s powerful renditions of “Amazing Grace,” “O Holy Night,” and her own compositions “Dark Christmas” and “Together”. It also includes introspective takes on “Last Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. In total, the album comprises 24 tracks that explore both the shadows and the light of the festive spirit.
